The stunning and unique looking BMW Z1 was produced by BMW at their main assembly plant in Munich from March 1989 to June 1991. Exactly 8,000 cars were produced.

The Z1 was unique in several different areas as it had plastic body panels, unusual sliding doors that dropped into the sill panels and a new kind of multi-link rear suspension set up that paved the way for use in some newer BMW models.

It used the silky-smooth 2.5 litre straight 6-cylinder engine and 5-speed transmission from the E30 325i.

This particular example was in an excellent mechanical condition having only covered 9,700 kms but was in need of some cosmetic care and attention.

As you can see from the video, the car was completely stripped down in order to recondition and/or renew every single cosmetic item and body panel.

The owner wanted the car to look ‘as new’, so our team of dedicated BMW specialists worked tirelessly and lovingly to achieve the customers desire.

This video shows the work involved as well as the end result of this amazing little car/project and how our team of independent BMW specialists have revived this classic car to be loved and admired for many years to come.
